New Jay-z ALBUM coming NOVEMBER

Wow

The Black album was a classic, kingdom Come was a poor effort, why couldn't he just leave the game with class?

The NY times reports that Jay-z is working on a new album entitled, "American Gangster". The album was inspired by the new Denzel Washington movie, "American Gangster" (nov.2), the album will be Jay's first concept album and his second release since his "retirement" (what ever that means).

I laughed when I first heard this story, to me it's funny how a rapper sees a movie about a gangster and feels the need to go make an album. Jay's quoted as saying "It immediately clicked with me. Like ‘Scarface,’ or any one of those films, you take the good out of it, and you can see it as an inspiring film,”(what do he mean by "those films").

Of course imma fan of Jay and will probably enjoy the album, I just feel there's more meaningful things to base an album on than the story of a heroin dealer. Sounds like someone wants to reclaim his spot on the forbes list next year.
