NY Film festival kicks off September 28th and there are a couple films I would like to see. I'm sure by now everyones starting to hear about the Tom Haynes, Bob Dylan biopic, "I'm not There". I got a little ticked off when my brother showed my mom a trailer for the movie(I posted the trailer last week and knew about the movie even longer ago). Anyhow, "I'm not there" is playing on the 4th/6th of October, I will try my best to go see that.
Another film that everyones sure to be talking about is, "The Darjeeling Limited". It's already picked to be the "little miss sunshine" of next years oscars. It's made by the same studio and follows a similar plot. The film stars a pre-suicidal Owen Wilson, oscar winner Adrian Brody and Jason Schwartzma. The script was written and directed by Wes Anderson(and Schwartzman, Roman Coppola). The Darjeeling Limited premiers opening night @ the festival(9/28/07).
Here's a look @ the trailer:
I never saw Little Miss Sunshine but I could really see myself enjoying this film.
Time will tell,
