Cat Power

I discovered this songstress while listening to that podcast of Sasha Frere-Jones that my brother sent to me. Jones mentioned an artist by the name of Cat Power, an artist that he thought had one of the greatest voices ever. I went on itunes, listened to a few tracks and was instantly hooked. The voice seemed so familiar but yet I had never heard of the name. She reminds me a lot of another great voice named Amiee Mann (sp).

I downloaded her most recent album after only listening to one track! This is definitely an album for cold, lonely winter nights.
