I'm sure by now everyone knows that TI was arrested for illegally purchasing guns. All I see is media outlets chastising the man for being a convicted felon and his explicit rap lyrics. I actually have a great deal of respect for TI, he seems to be a pretty intelligent entrepreneur, the success he's had has been great for hip hop. This situation really happened at the wrong time for him, just last week I saw him on that BET special about the image of rappers in the media. Doesn't help that he has a role in the movie, American Gangster and his latest single "You Know What it is" makes numerous references to drugs and violence.
Anyway, I hope this is just a misunderstanding and it all goes away. By the way, I'm not going to spend too much time talking about the case because it only makes me frustrated.
