Wes Anderson COMMERCIALS

Does anybody remember that American Express commercial that aired maybe two years ago. It was extremely long, 2 minutes to be exact and it featured a director walking around a set, talking about nonsense that ended with the slogan "my life, my card" (or something like that). Well that director was/is, Wes Anderson (The Darjeeling Limited).

I guess in between shooting 'The Darjeeling Limited' and 'Hotel Chevalrie' he did some work for AT&T. Those new AT&T commercials about being able to connect with people in remote locations were done by Wes Anderson. I love this ad campaign because they're funny, artistic and different that every other commercial out there. It's all done in one continuous shot and requires a lot of choreography. Anderson is known for focusing on one character while changing the setting around them. He actually reminds me a lot of Michel Gondry, in the way he choreographs his scenes.

Anderson did 6 commercials for AT&T: “College Kid,” “Reporter,” “Mom,” “Architect,” “Actor” and “Businessman.”

You can check out the AT&T commericials HERE!

I'll embed the American Express one,
