I got my super PC back and it's even better now. I got the Windows XP Media Edition re-installed and an additional 1gb of RAM bringing me 2 gigs of RAM baby! I'm in good shape to finally be able to handle HD video. I'm almost there but first I need to get a USB to FIREWIRE cable adapter and a VGA to DVI HD cable. Even then, you never know, there could be another layer of issues that will prevent me from utilizing my camcorder to it's full capablilties. Oh and I also have to re-install my Premiere Pro, After Effects in addition to some other programs not related to video editing (word, i-tunes, etc).
All I can do is expect the worst but hope for the best,
