Dreamseller by Brandon Novak (Pop Guru Review)

Brandon Novak, best known as Bam Margera's "best friend", featured on Viva La Bam, Bam's Unholy Union and other Jackass related television, is also a recovering heroin addict, was once a promising pro skater and now...a writer. Together with Joe Frantz, Novak recently released Dreamseller, his heroin Memoir.

Dreamseller is truly an AMAZING story. Think of every negative cliche associated with Heroin and Novak's probably experienced it to some degree. Engaging in homo sexual acts for Heroin money, check. Getting beat almost to the point of death over drugs, check. Loosing almost everything, gaining some of it back, only to loose it all again, check. It's no secret that Novak is still struggling to over come Heroin, so don't think this novel has a happy eneding. Even the stories with in Brandon's own story of abuse and redemption are unbelievable.

If you're think, Brandon Novak, that dumb fuck that talks about sucking peoples dick for money on Bam Radio, how the hell could he write a ledgible Novel? You'll be surprised to know that Dreamseller is actually a VERY well written book. Not sure if that's why Joe Frantz(-) shares a co-author credit or if it's just that heart felt(+), either way, there's actually some GREAT writing in Dreamseller.

It's hard to write a review about this book with out "giving away" some key points of the story so I guess you're just going to have to pick up a copy for yourself and READ.
