Lomography, what is it?

I've been interested in 'Lomography' for awhile now. You ask, what is 'Lomography', well it's defined as casual, snapshot photography. The cameras used for this type of photography are often called 'toy cameras' due to their plastic physique. Despite the cheap manufaturing, these cameras create very stunning images (IMO).

Here's are a few samples:

Some common elements of photos shot with a lomography camera are blurred/ distorted images, color filters, birdeye shots, multiple images.

In order to really appreciate the genre you need to either shoot some things yourself or atleast visit the website. I suggest everyone go out and pick up the standard HOLGA. I bought the additional color filter set and a strobe flash-w/ that package you should be all set. The add ons plus the cam will cost less than 100 beans.
