TV last night (nip/tuck/dancing with the...)

Last night was the premiere of the FX drama Nip/Tuck. The first episode was alright IMO. I could tell it was hard to transition the show from Miami to Los Angeles. LA is more than a city for the show, it's a change in mood and direction for the seasons to come. Right off the bat, it's evident that they're looking to appeal to a younger audience. LA is fresh and centered around beauty both in the show and real life. I think LA is a bit more appealing to the audience.

I think the first episode was a bit forced. They might have tried to accomplish too much in one sitting. It may have been better to just skip the whole "welcome to LA" episode and get into something meaningful. The first scene was literally them moving into the new office, with no clients and nothing to do; why start there? Why not just jump into the highlife of living in LA, being single, etc-we all know it's going there @ some point.

Anyway, that's enough ranting. Hopefully the next episode will be better, so far I wished the gang just stayed in MIA, they might have taken one too many plot twists with this series.

ps. I didn't watch DWTS but I heard that girl from the Cheetah Girls got knocked off! That's hard to believe because she was truly an amazing dancer. I guess this just proves that when the 'fans' vote, they don't vote on skill or with any logic.
